Ginkgo Avenue, located in the Meiji Jingu Gaien park, the avenue is famous for its beautiful ginkgo trees which turns into a  beautiful yellow color during the autumn season. The avenue is 300m long lined with 146 ginkgo trees.

The best time to visit Ginkgo Avenue is from Late-November to Early-December.

Tip: we recommend that you visit the avenue on weekends, the roads are temporarily closed to vehicles which means you can walk in the middle of the avenue and take a great picture of the golden ginkgo trees.

How to get there?

  1. From Shinjuku Station to Shinanomachi Station
  • Take the Chuo-Sobu Line (各停Tsudanuma) and then get off at the Shinanomachi Station (3 stops from Shinjuku Station).
  1. From Shibuya Station To Shinanomachi Station
  • Take the JR Yamanote Line (各停For Shinjuku / Ikebukuro (Clockwise)) transfer at the Shinjuku Station and take the Chuo-Sobu Line (各停Tsudanuma) and then get off at the Shinanomachi Station (3 stops from Shinjuku Station).
