


As this year’s summer is very hot. Heatstroke is one of the reasons why people die.
As August is approaching to it’s last week, it already top 130 heatstroke deaths. 28 people have died in the metropolitan area in the eight days due to heatstroke from August 12 to August 19, Tokyo authorities said.
According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, the victims are ranged from aged 50s to 90s. Majority of the fatalities are elderly people. Out of the 28, 11 were in their 70s and 10 were in their 80s.
Public health authorities are advising people to use air conditioning all night, and to stay hydrated to help prevent heatstroke.
