Good news for Filipinos traveling for business or cultural reasons and purposes in Japan. The country is easing the visa requirements for these reasons starting this month, August. It was announced on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 by the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines.

Effective on August 1, 2018, multiple-entry visas for Filipino will be extended to 10 years from  the current 5 years and the scope of the applicants eligible for the multiple entry visas will also be expanded.

As stated in the Press Release of the Embassy, their aim for this easing of visa requirements for Filipinos is “people-to-people exchanges between Japan and the Republic of the Philippines”.
