Start in 1950, Kyo Odori is considered as one of the younger performances which by the Miyagawa-cho in Kyoto. Kyo Odori is the perfomance of Geiko (geisha) and Maiko (apprentice geiko) with their own rendition of the district’s famous dances. This year is their 69th year.
