One of the Summer Festival that you can visit during Summer season in Japan is the Akita Kanto Festival. This event is for displaying strength and technique where performers manipulate bamboo poles fitted with lanterns that look likes large ear of rice. When the evening comes, Kanto Street is filled woth large, meduim and children’s poles.
The festivals performers balance these poles on their using their forehead or lower backs while walking the parade. These poles weigh up to 50kg and with a height of 15meters long and hangs 46 lanterns. There are also bamboo flutes players in the parade.
