Aomori Nebuta Festival is one of the festivals that Aomori City is most famous of. This is the sister of Hirosaki Neputa Festival. This is a parade of large floats depicting kabuki scenes that are wheeled around and wildly from side to side. People can join freely as long as they wear the required haneto costume.
The Aomori Nebuta Festival schedule sees parades on each evening for the first five days with a procession of floats happening during the day on the final day with a large fireworks festival in the evening.
