40,000 fireworks light up the sky at Lake Suwa in the mid summer fireworks festival. The main viewing area is in Suwa City on the south side of the lake.
Lake Suwa is a rectangular shaped lake on the sout of Matsumoto city. Trains from Matsumoto to Kamisuwa station take about 35 minutes that costs areound 580 yen.
