Held every February in Abashiri, Abashiri Okhotsk Drift Ice Festival features different shapes and sizes of ice and snow sculptures. There are also delicious local treats like scallops and king crab where the area is famous for. There are hourly drift ice tours on the two ice breaker ships. In the evenings, the ice and snow sculptures are illuminated with rainbow colored light which turns it into a winter wonderland.
