Iwate Snow Festival is know as one of the five Great Snow Festivals in Tohoku Region. It is held every February in Koiwai Farm in Iwate. This snow festival features snow sculptures in different shapes and sizes made with over 4,000 people, a large snow slide where you can enjoy sledding, and horse sleigh and snow train where you can ride. There are also Kamakura or snow domes where you can enjoy eating inside them, And of course, Koiwai’s meat product like cheese and milk are also available. In the evenings, you can enjoy watching illumination display and firework display.
