Hiroshima is famous for it’s seafood dishes particularly, oysters. Miyajima Oyster Festival was the first oyster event to gain attraction as a proper festival.
The festival is held over two days of the weekend in early February each year. All of the dishes at the festival are on sale cheap, so you can enjoy many different kinds of oyster dishes all at once. A direct sales corner can also be seen from the event where the locals come to buy oysters from the day’s catch.
