Namahage Sedo festival, a festival in which locals dress up as demons and scare the bejesus out of young children. The festival is a combinationof the Shinto “Saitousai” ritual held on the second Saturday and Sunday of February at the Shinzan Shrine in Kitaura, Oga City.
During the festival there are bonfires whick represents a dramatic expression of the reason for the festival, taiko drumming and mochi hurling.
