Begun in 1953, Ise Shrine National Dedication Fireworks Festival is celebrated to commemorate the 59th periodic rebuilding of the Shrine. This firework festival features over 10,000 fireworks and attracts over 200,000 visitors each year making it as one of the three largest firework festival in Japan together with Tsuchiura Fireworks Display in Ibaraki and Omagari Fireworks Festival in Akita.
