Held every June 22nd to 24th, Himeji Yukata Festival is held for the local god of Himeyama of Osakabe Shrine. It first took place about 260 years ago which made it as one of the oldest festival of its type. Yukata are very bright and light kimonos the people wear during summer season in Japan. Around 200,000 visitors come to see this 3-day festival and 800 foods stands joins.
