This is an annual shrine festival dedicated to the spirit of the lady who entered the Sarusawa pond. A ceremonial procession is held at 5pm, beginning in the city from JR Nara station and walking to Sarusawa pond. Then, traditional ceremonies are performed from 6pm. At 7pm, the flower fan is transferred to a dragon boat, which floats around the Sarusawa pond in order to finally calm the spirit of the lady of the pond, and at the same time pray for people’s happiness.
