Located in central Tokyo and a few steps from Tokyo Dome is a noticeable space ship like building named Bunkyo Civic Center. On the building’s 25th floor is an observation lounge that offers FREE entry to the public! Unlike the two famous towers in the city, Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower that charges expensive admission tickets, Bunkyo Civic Center Observation Lounge is absolutely admission FREE!

The east, west and north side of the observation deck is open to the public from 9AM – 8:30PM free of charge! While on the 3rd Sunday of May and from December 29 to January 3 of every year Bunkyo Civic Center Observation Deck is closed.

The height of the observation lounge is about 105 meters above the ground and gives a breath-taking panoramic view of Tokyo’s Skyline.

West Side of Bunkyo Civic Center Observation Deck

On a clear day Mt. Fuji can be seen on the west side of the observation deck along with the Shinjuku district.

Fastest Access

At Kasuga Station on the Toei Oedo Subway Line, take exit A1-A3 and follow the subway directions for “Bunkyo Civic Center Connection Gate”.  This connection gate will lead you directly on the basement of Bunkyo Civic Center.

Go straight to the Bunkyo Civic Center Connection gate and go to the elevator access that leads to the 25th floor (Observation deck).
