Tokyo Station
Tokyo Station opened in 1914. It is a brick building in the Marunouchi district, and it is just near the Imperial Place. The station was constructed for six (6) years and has four platforms. Its design was based in one of the stations in The Netherlands which is the Amsterdam Centraal Station.
During World War II, Tokyo Station was damaged and underwent into a major renovation. This renovation was finished in the year 2012.
It is one of the busiest stations in Tokyo, Japan because it serves many lines and Shinkansen bullet train lines.

Wadakura Fountain Park
Just few minutes away from the Tokyo Station, there is a beautiful fountain park which is the Wadakura Fountain Park. It is a small but amazing park located to the east of the Imperial Palace. It was built to commemorate the wedding of the Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko in 1961. Later, it was renovated to also commemorate the wedding of the Crown Prince Naruhito and Princess Masako in 1995. The best time to visit the park is in the evening because the park and the fountains are illuminated.
